Water woes to increase in the next few days

With rains continuing to evade the city, water levels in lakes supplying drinking water to it has been sinking day by day. The present stock in Rakaskop and Hidkal is the least and water would suffice only for 5 days or even less. It’s, in fact, below the lowest drawable limit.

The water department/ Corporation has been meeting to formulate contingency plan if it does not rain until July 2. Major water cuts can be expected and in some places now water is released once in 10 days.

Each one should judiciously use water.
Only good monsoon can save us now and many prayers are being conducted for good rains.
