The Karnataka state cabinet in its meeting yesterday decided to have its legislature winter session in Bangalore it self beginning from December 5. Earlier it was being speculated that the winter session might be held in Belgaum.
Higher Education Minister V S Acharya said the session will conclude on December 16. It was being said that the Suvarna Soudha being built at Halga, Belgaum would be ready for the winter session, but it has not been the case. Still the internal works are pending.
A sum Rs.410 crores have been spent on the mega structure and now it is certain that the Session in the new structure will only be possible in March 2012 or later.
Hahahaha
Matter of time ! 🙂
I feel Belgaum has got miles to travel before being eligible to host sessions. The only reason for the state govt decision to hold LS sessions in Belgaum is to highlight the concern that it pretends to show for Kannadigas and that it is making all possible attempts to keep Belgaum in Karnataka.
