A woman died after a truck hit the Pleasure scooter she was riding pillion near SC motors on Sambra Road at about 7 PM on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Chennamma Kedur (55) of Shindoli was riding pillion while the rider her daughter and son have escaped with minor injuries. They were on their way to Mutaga from Belagavi when this untoward incident occurred.
A case has been registered at Traffic North Police station.
