Work on NH Khanapur to Anmod resumed by a new contractor

There is good news for travelers on the Khanapur to Anmod route on the National Highway as VM Matere Infrastructure (India) Pvt. Ltd, the new contractor has begun the work on this stretch at the cost of 139.99 crores.

The original contract was awarded to Dilip Buildcon Ltd for the 52 km stretch with/without paved shoulder, and rigid pavement.

The new contractor has been given 18 months to complete the work.

The work on this stretch was stopped after the environmentalists approached the court in 2019, however, the High court vacated the stay and hence the new contractor has resumed the work on this stretch from November 21 and they will get 18 months for completing.

Khanapur – Anmod Section
2 Laning with paved shoulder from 30+800 to 70+800 km and 2 laning without paved shoulder from 70+800 to Karnataka/Goa border 84+120 Km has been awarded to VM Matere Infrastructure (India) Pvt. Ltd.
Length: 52.3 Km

  1. The road which goes from khnapur to Ramnagar has been stopped as well as not spraying water on the road properly the rider are suffering from dust.
