This year World Diabetes Day is being jointly conducted by Indian Medical Association, Dr Neeta Deshpande’s Belgaum Diabetes Centre and KH Belgaumkar Foundation
India has the 2nd largest number of diabetics in the world. It is a silent disease and only awareness and knowledge can help us to prevent it. It is a lifestyle related disorder. We are conducting a variety of day long programs for the benefit of the public.

MORNING SESSION:
9.30 am: “MY STORY” of diabetes—Elocution Competition—open to diabetics or their caregivers. This is a unique event that has never been done before, where patients can express their innermost feelings about a lifelong disease they are living with.
10.30 am: Cooking competition—Diabetic Recipe— Breakfast Item (main ingredient-oats) or Sweet Item (made with artificial sweetener)
