Belagavi pair Tejas and Ajinkya win Bronze in Badminton at 1st Khelo India School Games

The saying which says “Impossible is nothing” comes true with the Duo of Tejas Kallolkar & Ajinkya Joshi for achieving an astonishing feat at the 1st Khelo India School Games 2018 by winning the Bronze Medal in U-17 Boys Doubles.

Tejas Kallolkar & Ajinkya Joshi, created History by winning the Bronze Medal at the 1st Khelo India School Games 2018 held at New Delhi from 5th to 8th February 2018 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium.

Ajinkya Tejas - Khelo India School Games .The Duo of Tejas Kallolkar & Ajinkya Joshi won Bronze Medal in U-17 Boys Doubles. The 1st Ever Doubles Pair from Belagavi in U-17 Boys Doubles who have achieved this significant feat.

Pre Quarter Finals:-

The Unseeded Duo of Tejas Kallolkar & Ajinkya Joshi beat Andre Gazmer/ Devan Rai of Sikkim with a score line of 21-5, 21-6 in the Pre Quarter Finals.

Quarter Finals:-

In the Quarter Finals the Duo of Tejas Kallolkar & Ajinkya Joshi Upset the 4th Seeded Pair of Jayant Rana/ Suraj Saroha of Haryana.

Tejas /Ajinkya fought back from a deficit of 11-15 to win the first game 21-19. In the 2nd game Tejas/Ajinkya outplayed the Haryana Duo with a score line of 21-14 & made it to the Semi Finals of U-17 Boys Doubles.

Semi Finals:-

Tejas Kallolkar & Ajinkya Joshi fought really hard & lost to the top seeded pair of Navaneeth Bokka / Vishnuvardhan Goud (Telangana) in the Semi Finals with a score line of 9-21 & 17-21 & had to be content with the Bronze Medal.

Tejas Kallolkar & Ajinkya Joshi (MVM English Medium High School) are being trained at Rajan’s Badminton Academy under the guidance of Mr Rajan B Mohire at Samarthya Mandir’s Chanda Pai & Gogte Badminton Halls, Tilakwadi, Belagavi. ​
