Belgaum: GIT College Belgaum KLE Engineering College Belgaum emerged triumphant in Men and Women categories respectively in the VTU ‘Belgaum Zone’ Inter-collegiate Shuttle Badminton Tournament, organized by Jain College of Engineering, Belgaum.
In the finals of Men category – GIT College defeated BVBCET Hubli by a margin of 3-1. Earlier in semis GIT College defeated Jain College of Engineering by a margin of 3-2 in a hard fought match and BVBCET defeated VDRIT Haliyal by a margin of 3-0.
In the finals of Women’s section KLECET Belgaum defeated BVBCET Hubli by a slender margin of 2-1 and emerged Champions. Earlier in semis KLE College defeated Jain College of engineering by a margin of 2-0 and BVBCET defeated GIT College by a margin of 3-0.
The Winner’s and Runner’s up of both the groups have qualified for VTU Inter Zonal Shuttle Badminton Tournament to be held from 28th to 30th October 2014 at SDMIT Ujjare.
