Participated in the recently conducted 1st PAN INDIA MASTERS National Games, held at Padukone Dravid Centre for SPORTS Excellence Bangalore, and won the following medals
The Master’s tournament is categorized in a group span of 5 years (each group) starting from 25 years to 95 years of age and there is healthy competition even in the elderly age groups. The tournament is a symbol of maintaining fitness with no age as a barrier.
Swimmers from Swimmers Club Belgaum won a total of 18 Medals that comprising of 12 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals, and 1 Bronze medals
- Indrajeet Halgekar – 4 Gold and 1 Silver medals
- Jagdish Gasti – 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 bronze medals
- Minal Angolkar Patil – 2 Gold and 2 Silver medals
- Jyoti Hosatti – 4 Gold and 1 Silver Medals
Around 500 swimmers participated in the above-mentioned tournament from various states of India like Maharashtra, Delhi, Telengana, Andrapradesh, Kerala, Punjab, Gujarat, the host state of Karnataka and many more states as well.
The above masters’ swimmers practice their swimming lessons at the Suvarna JNMC swimming pool (Olympic Standard) and are regularly trained by the expert coaches like Mr. Umesh Kalghatgi, Mr. Akshay Sheregar, Mr. Nitish Kuduchkar, Mr. Ajinkya Mendke, Mr. Govardhan Kakatkar.
