National Kho Kho tournament at Chandargi

Belgaum is hosting a 58th national-level Kho-Kho tournament for boys and girls (under 17) at the Composite Sports Residential School at Chandargi village in Ramdurg taluk for five days from December 3.

The tournament is being jointly organised by the Department of Public Instruction, the Belgaum district administration, the zilla panchayat and the host school.

40 teams are participating in the five-day tournament. Six pitches had been formed. Apart from 1,200 players, a large number of officials, umpires and volunteers will be present.

  1. Really happy to see this news about a beautiful game like Kho-Kho.. The event seems to be really well-organized.. Kudos to Department of Public Instruction, the Belgaum district administration, the zilla panchayat and the host school…

    Still wonder why games like this are not in Olympics… There are so many games which can be dropped from Olympics and games like Kho-Kho & Kabbadi should be included…
