Heavy police deployment in city for assembly session

As the date for the maiden assembly session is nearing, which commences from December 5, the police are not taking any kind of chances. 

SP Sandeep Patil today said that elaborate security arrangements have been made in the city and also at the Suvarna Soudha.
About 4000 strong police will keep the security tiught in the next 10 days. 1 RAF company has also been called in. 5 ASP, 20 DSP, 59 CPI, 152 PSI, 268 ASI, 2683 PC’s will assist in the over all security arrangements.

200 CCTV cameras have been placed and will be monitored round the clock. Every impirtant circle in the city will have a PSI on duty.

Naka bandhi would be done and all vehicles entering the city would be checked for from all directions.

The district police has passed an order prohibiting all public demonstrations within a 1-km radius of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha to ensure smooth traffic for those attending the winter session of the legislature from December 5 to 12. Demonstrations could be permitted only at a place specified by the Police Department.

There could be some changes in regular traffic on many routes as there is bound to be heavy VVIP movement.
