After a span of about 16 years the city of Belagavi will host a Ranji Trophy match the newly built KSCA stadium at Auto Nagar from November 29.

Both the team players from Gujarat and Punjab have been accommodated at the Fairfield by Marriot Kakti, and special practice pitches have been built at the stadium.
The match would commence from 9.30 AM on Tuesday which will be a new dawn to the cricketing history of Belagavi.
The Ranji Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between teams representing regional cricket associations
First Ranji Match was played at Union Gymkhana in 1970:
The Karnataka-Andhra match from November 15-18 2000 is only the second Ranji Trophy match played on this ground, the first being held between the same teams 30 years back on 13,14 November 1970. Karnataka (then Mysore) won by an innings & 10 runs.
