Today the finals of the Qualifying Round was played between Cantonment School and Beynon Smith School (1 – 0). Both sides played very well and the winning goal was scored by Saifali Bepari of Cantonment School at the 39th minute of the match.
Both schools, Cantonment School and Beynon Smith School, have qualified to play in the Main Draw of the Royceton Gomes Memorial Football Tournament 2012 where they will meet the best 10 football schools of last year 2011 — Islamiya School, KLS School, Herwadkar School, MV Niketan School, MVM School, St. Xavier’s School, Phoenix School, St. Paul’s School, GG Chitnis School and Dnyan Prabodhan School.
The matches for the Main Draw begins on Wednesday, 1st August, 2012. The finals is scheduled to be held on 7th August, 2012 on the ‘A’ Ground of St. Paul’s High School.
