Master Swimmers Mr. Laxman Kumbhar, Mr. Balwant Pattar, and Mr. Kallappa Patil represented Swimmers Club Belgaum at State Master’s Aquatic Championship and bagged 4 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals. The championship was held at Pooja Aquatic Center, Banshankari IInd Stage, Bangalore on 21st and 22nd of September 2013. The detailed results are as follows;

Mr. Laxman Kumbhar Age : 65 yrs. Group 65 to 70 yrs.

50 mtrs. Breast Stroke Silver Medal
100 mtrs. Breast Stroke Silver Medal
50 mtrs. Butterfly Silver Medal
Mr. Balwant Pattar Age : 62 yrs. Group 60 to 65 yrs.
100 mtrs. Back Stroke Silver Medal
50 mtrs. Back Stroke Bronze Medal
Mr. Laxman Kumbhar is retired RMS officer and member of Lingayat Sunghatne and Senior Citizen Association, Mahantesh Nagar. He is participating in swimming competition from the past 30 yrs. and bagged around 200 state and national medals. Mr. Kallappa is working at Rotary Corporation Swimming Pool, Goaves, Belgaum and Mr. Balwant Pattar is retired BSNL officer. All the swimmers are practicing at Rotary Corporation Sports Academy’s Swimming Pool, Goaves, Belgaum under the guidance of Shri Umesh Kalghatgi and Shri Sudhir Kusane.
More than 300 swimmers from all over state participated in the above said championship. All the swimmers are selected in the Karnataka Team for Master’s National Aquatic Championships to be held at Rajkot during 25th to 27th October 2013.
