Eight specially abled swimmers of the Swimmers Club Belgaum and Aquarius Swim Club Belgaum participated at XIIth National Paralympics Swimming Championships and have shown striking performance. The team consisted of Raghvendra Anavekar (Captain), Rajesh Shinde, Jotiba Kundekar, Moin Junedi, Amol Kamble, Manjunath Dandai and Manjunath Holi. They have brought all together 2 Individual Championships, 10 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, 9 Bronze Medals. The said championship was conducted from 6th to 9th December 2012 by Tamilnadu Swimming Association at Velachari Swimming Pool, Chennai. More than 400 Swimmers from all states of India participated in this championship.

Belgaum and are trained by, Mr. Umesh Kalaghatgi, Mr.Sudhir Kusane, Mr. Prasad Tendolkar, Mr. S. R.Sinda Mr. Ajinkya Mendke, Mr. Akshay Sheregar, Guruprasad Tangankar and Mr.Kallapa Patil. All are getting support and help over the years from Shri Suresh Hundre, Shri Avinash Potdar, Shri Basavraj Vibhuti and Shri Hareram Kadrolkar.
