Swimmers Shine at State School Games 2012

In the State School Games 2012 for under 14 yrs and 17 yrs held at Basvangudi Swim Centre, Bangalore swimmers have done outstanding performance. Nearly 200 swimmers from all over the state took part in this competition. With the tough competition from the Bangaloreans our swimmers brought 5 Gold Medals, 25 Silver Medals and 19 Bronze Medals. The detail achievements of our swimmers are as follows;

Yash Kusane – Under 14 yrs – 2 Gold Medals

Samiksha Satpute- Under 14 yrs – 1 Gold Medal / 4 Silver Medals

Rishi Tendolkar – Under 14 yrs – 1 Gold Medal / 2 Silver Medals / 2 Bronze Medals

Varun Balloli – Under 14 yrs – 1 Gold Medal / 2 Silver Medals / 1 Bronze Medal

Manasi Herekar- Under 14 yrs – 4 Silver Medals / 1 Bronze Medal

Akshata Desai – Under 14 yrs – 3 Silver Medals

Prishita Parmar – Under 14 yrs – 2 Silver Medals / 1 Bronze Medal

Arqa Sayyed- Under 17 yrs – 2 Silver Medals

Hemlata Kadam – Under 17 yrs – 1 Silver Medal / 4 Bronze Medals

Jui Kalghatgi – Under 17 yrs – 1 Silver Medal / 3 Bronze Medals

Janhavi Kulkarni – Under 14 yrs – 1 Silver Medal / 1 Bronze Medal

Kritika Ganachari- Under 14 yrs – 1 Silver Medal / 1 Bronze Medal

Gururaj Killekar – Under 14 yrs – 1 Silver Medal

Poorva Patil – Under 17 yrs – 1 Silver Medal

Palash Kalghatgi- Under 14 yrs – 2 Bronze Medals

Rutu Murgod- Under 14 yrs – 2 Bronze Medals

Aman Sharma- Under 14 yrs – 1 Bronze Medal

The above swimmers are the members of Swimmer’s Club Belgaum & Aquarius Swim Club Belgaum and practicing at Rotary Corporation Sports Academy’s Swimming Pool, Goaves, Belgaum. Samiksha Satpute, Akshata Desai, Manasi Herekar, Rishi Tendolkar, Prishita Parmar, Varun Balloli, Yash Kusane, Arqa Sayyed are selected for Nationals to be held at Pune during 21st to 24th of November 2012.

The above swimmers are taking coaching under the watchful guidance of Ajinkya Mendke, Akshay Sheregar and Guruprasad Tangankar.
