Nikon India, the 100% subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, leaders in imaging technology, inaugurated its first COOLPIX zone in Belgaum today. The zone was inaugurated by Mr. Hiroshi Takashina, Managing Director, Nikon India at Subhash Photo Plaza Ramdev Galli, Belgaum.
The COOLPIX Zone gives access to the entire range of Nikon COOLPIX cameras and select range of D-SLR cameras to the customers and gives them an opportunity to experience the world-class products before they make a purchase decision. The company has adopted the shop-in-shop retail concept to reach out to its growing customer base.
At the inauguration of the Zone, Mr. Hiroshi Takashina, Managing Director, Nikon India said, “At Nikon India, our aim is to promote photography as a culture, which as a hobby has seen a sudden growth over the past few years. With the availability of affordable-feature rich camera, the industry is growing at a fast pace and we expect this trend to continue.”
“India offers great opportunities to both amateur and entry level photographers. The picturesque locations inspire photographers and Belguam is one such city. We have seen an increase in demand for our products from this region, making it an important market for us,” he added.
In keeping with this retail plan, Mr. Takashina said, “It is our endeavor to provide the best of products and the best shopping experience to our customers. We have trained our store promoters to further improve the buying experience and we want our customers to make an informed choice.”
The company has already set up 91 COOLPIX and D-SLR zone in India so far in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad etc.
