Kiran Kulkarni did his schooling from St.Paul’s high school (1978) and got his bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication (1984) from Gogte institute of Technology. His was the first batch to come out of GIT as engineers. Kiran was a badminton team member, General Secretary (sports) during college.

Geodesic Ltd (formerly Geodesic Information Systems Ltd) was incorporated in 1999 by Pankaj Kumar, Kiran Kulkarni, Prashant Mulekar and Mahesh Murthy. A publicly traded company, Geodesic is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and its Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCB) is on the Singapore Stock Exchange. With twelve offices spread across the globe, four marketing partners and 525 employees, Geodesic earned revenues of US$ 133 million and a net profit of US$ 52 million during FY 2009. The company recorded consolidated revenue of 6.21 billion rupees in FY11, a growth of 23.3 percent from the previous year. Geodesic, which services the government segment with its product GeoAmida, expects to double revenue coming from this vertical in FY12 from about 1.5 billion rupees in the previous fiscal. GeoAmida is a biometric and smart-card enabled remote computing and transaction device, which can be deployed in areas such as public distribution, rural employment and e-governance projects.
Geodesic is also looking at launching a new product aimed at power distribution companies, which would help in generating electricity bills of an entire building or area at a single place and enable power companies to collect this with ease.
Geodesic’s real time content, communication and collaboration platform, in conjunction with a powerful Customer Alignment and Relationship management (CRM), works seamlessly across the web, desktops and mobile devices.
