Virupakshappa Sadhunavar files nomination -assets Details

Dr.Virupakshappa Sadhunavar originally from Bailhongal has filed his nomination papers today to contest for the Belagavi LokSabha Constituency from the Indian National Congress party.

Dr. Virupaxi S. Sadhunavar, is a director in KLE society. M.B.B.S is from Bailhongal influenced by Dr.Abdul Kalam’s PURA Model and Md. Younis Grameen Bank in the triumvirate of economics, schooling, and health as the basis of rural transformation. He wishes to bring quality education to rural areas through project PRERANA.

Dr. V. S Sadhunavar grew up being close to village life. Having had his early education in the village itself, he went on to do his MBBS. As a doctor, he dedicated his life to the looking after of people from rural. Not one to rest on his past laurels, Dr. Sadhunavar decided to change the very fabric of village life by deciding to bring in financial self-sufficiency in the form of rural co-operative banks. He has set up “Hundred” Kittur Rani Channamma Rural Co-operative bank which is now well established in rural north Karnataka. The next step was to set up educational institutions under the name PRERANA. He has set up PRERANA School in Bailhongal which is working towards providing quality education for more than 1000 students. He intends starting 100 schools in coming years.
