The Election Code of Conduct for the upcoming General Lok Sabha Elections in 2024 is in force in Belagavi. In cases where individuals are found in possession of cash exceeding Rs. 50,000 without proper documentation, the Election Flying Squads/Static Surveillance Teams (FST/SST) will seize the amount. Subsequently, a Cash Release Committee will be established to promptly release the confiscated funds.
The Chairmanship of the Cash Release Committee will be held by the Belagavi Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officers.
