108-feet tall statue of the Basaveshwara to be installed

The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai, recently announced in Belagavi the construction of a magnificent 108-feet tall statue of the renowned social reformer, Basaveshwara. The statue will be erected on the picturesque banks of the river Ghataprabha in the Belagavi district and is expected to attract tourists from all over the world.

The announcement was made by the Chief Minister during the foundation stone laying ceremony at Shri Basveshwar circle, where he also unveiled plans for several other development projects in Belagavi.
