On Wednesday night, a significant amount of cash, totaling ₹3.50 lakh, was seized at a check post established by district election officials near Yaddalagudda village in the Ankalagi police station of Gokaka taluk.
The inspection team discovered the cash during a routine check of a vehicle belonging to Lakshman Hanamant Gadad of Mannikeri village in Gokak taluk.
Tehsildar Sridhara M, who is also the taluk election officer, released a statement confirming that the officers who seized the cash have taken further action.
