Today, more than 370 idols of Ganesha would be immersed in various immersion ponds in the city. The main immersion procession would be begin at Hutatma Chowk at 4 pm. Another parallel immersion procession would begin at 2.30 pm from Khasbag for the idols from Shahpur, Khasbag and adjoining areas.
A strong 5500+ police force will see through the procession. As many as 125 CCTV cameras have been put up to manage the crowd and to keep vigil. About 10 cranes are already installed at Kapilleshwar tank where the immersion would take place.
The immersion procession is a very joyous affair with Dhol, Tasha groups, lejhim and other live acts which will be performed all over the night.
Special gallery has been made at Dharmveer Sambhaji Circle for spectators. The immersion procession would start from Hutatma Circle go via Ramdev Galli, Samadevi Galli, Dharmveer Sambhaji Circle, Ramling Khind Galli, Tahshildar galli and would end at Kapileshwar.
