50 crore reserved for Kanabargi layout in BUDA budget

Belagavi Urban Development Authority (BUDA) has greenlit a budget of Rs 384.46 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25. The approval came during the general and budget meetings convened on Friday, March 1.

Within this budget, a significant allocation of Rs. 5000 lakhs has been designated for the Kanabargi project (Project No. 61) for the current financial year (2024-2025). Additionally, Rs. 3000 lakhs have been set aside for a new housing layout and development project. Another Rs. 5000 lakhs has been earmarked for the Maha Yojana Roads and Traffic Ring Development Workshop.

Further allocations include Rs. 3500 lakhs for constructing commercial complexes under the Authority’s scheme, Rs. 1500 lakhs for enhancing various parks across the city, and an additional Rs. 1500 lakhs for the development of key lakes.

The budget also includes provisions for enhancing city security, with Rs. 50 lakhs allocated for the installation of CC cameras in vital locations and another Rs. 50 lakhs for mobile CC camera installation. Moreover, Rs. 500 lakhs have been allocated for city beautification.

Furthermore, the initiation of the Kanabargi Housing Design Development Scheme No: 61 has been slated to commence soon.
