Abhay Patil meets Rajnath Singh along with IT minister to press for land for IT park in Belagavi

Following up with his meeting with Defense minister Rajnath Singh in Bengaluru MLA Abhay Patil along with Deputy Chief Minister and IT and BT Minister Ashwath Narayana met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi today again and pressed that the Defense land may be handed over to the state for setting up a high-tech IT and BT park in Belagavi.

Defense department is in the possession of Karnataka State Government owned Land survey number 1304 to 1349 located in Belagavi, Karnataka as the land is Owned by Government of Karnataka and the land was leased for 100 years to the Defense department in the year 1860 by then the ruling government, the lease expired in the year 1960. But the Defense department has not released the possession of the said land even after the expiry of the lease.

This land is adjoining NH 4 near the entrance near KLE hospital.

The Defense Minister has responded positively and said the land will be handed over as soon as possible.


It may be recalled that Abhay Patil had moved a private member’s Motion in the Karnataka State Assembly to Set up an IT park in the Karnataka State Government Owned Land Survey number 1304 to 1349, the motion was accepted by the State Government.

  2. These people just want grab the land for there own benefit. THere was already land allocated for IT park which has because the grazing ground. I guess there was a post obout it as well.

  3. Very good efforts to solve the economical problems. But at same time please look forward to solve border issues pending from maney year’s. Now also many people’s are suffering & facing mother tongue language.
