With this announcement, the demand for the establishment of AIIMS in Belagavi has been gaining momentum.
AIIMS FOR BELAGAVI
Belagavi district has 14 taluka and it is the biggest district and 2nd most populated district after Bangalore with a Literacy rate of 73%.
This big district lacks an affordable govt health care system like the one present in Bengaluru.
The situation of the civil hospital also was not good. Still, after the intervention of the Regional commissioner, it is seeing some good days but the lack of better health care for the poor still remains.
The AIIMS can render specialized care and treatment at a lower cost, which will benefit society at large.
