Indore has now retained the top spot in the survey of being the cleanest city for a consecutive three years.
Every year, cities and towns across India are awarded the title of ‘Swachh Cities’ on the basis of their cleanliness and sanitation drive as a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan that was launched in 2014.
The primary goal of all Swachh Survekshans is to encourage large scale citizen participation and create awareness amongst all sections of society about the importance of working together towards making towns and cities a better place to live in.
602 citizens participated in the feedback.
The city rankings of Belagavi have been coming down and the corporation will have to look into it on a serious note. The pourkarmikas are not paid for months together, then how does one expect that they will work.
“The pourkarmikas are not paid for months together, then how does one expect that they will work.” I agree that they should be paid on time but we citizens have equal responsibility to keep our city clean . Each one of us has to make a genuine attempt to get this done and maintained .
Wake up people , get involved in making Belgavi a beautiful place to live. Keep city clean. Take pride!
Let all Belgaumkars get together to take up the challenge and make sure we aim at being in the Top 10 in the next financial year.
