Smt. Mangala Suresh Angadi, a member of the Belagavi Lok Sabha, met with Mr. Ashwini Vaishnav, the Union Minister of Railways, at Rail Bhawan in New Delhi today. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss various development issues within the Railway Department that are relevant to the jurisdiction of the Belagavi Lok Sabha.

One of the key topics of discussion was the ongoing construction of the new Belagavi Kittur Dharwad railway line. Smt. Angadi requested that the project be expedited to ensure its timely completion. Additionally, she highlighted the halt in construction work for the second phase of the road overpass near Tilakwadi Level Crossing 381 (Third gate) in Belagavi city. This delay has caused disruptions in the city’s traffic flow, and Ms. Angadi urged for the work to resume promptly and be finished without further delay.

In response to these concerns, the Ministry of Railways has approved the construction of road overpasses near Level Crossing 382 (Second Gate) and 383 (First Gate). Smt. Angadi further requested the Honorable Minister of Railways, Shri, to consider initiating a new train service between Belagavi-Kochi and Belagavi Pune. This would fulfill the demands of the people residing in the Belagavi Lok Sabha constituency and facilitate their travel to significant religious sites such as Sri Rama Mandir Sukshetra in Ayodhya, Sri Vithala Rukkini Mandir in Pandharpur, and Sri Sabari Malaya Kshetra.

Furthermore, Smt. Angadi submitted a request for the necessary funding to construct a dedicated building for the postal department, covering an area of 5000 sq.ft. The Honorable Minister of Railways attentively listened to all the demands and expressed his sympathy towards them.
