In response to an RTI query, the South Western Railway (SWR) has acknowledged the presence of operational and terminal constraints during the trial run of Train No.20661/20662 Bengaluru Dharwad Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express. These constraints need to be addressed to extend the train service to Belagavi.

The highly anticipated trial run of the KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express took place on November 21st, 2023. This state-of-the-art train, known for its exceptional speed and efficiency, completed its maiden journey from KSR Bengaluru to Belagavi and back without any complications.

However, many individuals are now questioning why the Vande Bharat train service has not yet commenced. There could be several factors contributing to this delay, primarily related to the maintenance of these trains at Belagavi station. As per the RTI reply, there are operational and terminal constraints that need to be addressed.
