Bharat Bandh No major impact of Bandh in Belagavi

There was no major impact of the Bharat Bandh call made by the Congress and its allies in Belagavi city.

The NWKRTC had stopped its services in the morning but later commenced the same. All shops and commercial establishments in the city were open with show windows shut. But all the shops were open.

The number of autos plying on the road were lesser than normal and the ones on the road made merry with exorbitant fares.

CBT had a deserted look in the morning but later it was bustling with activity.Elaborate security arrangements were made by the Karnataka Police in view of the bandh.

The ‘Bharat bandh’ was called by the Congress to protest the spiralling prices of petroleum products and supported by its allies in various states.
