The last two meetings of the BUDA Board were indecisive for lack of quorum due to the absence of the BJP MLA’s, Nominated members & Govt. officials who are BUDA members. Many development projects like scheme no.61 in Kanbargi, International Hockey Stadium, development of parks, playgrounds & roads are at a standstill.
In this regard, a meeting was called at Maruti temple Maruti Galli by Citizens of Belgaum, where it was agreed upon to hold a massive rally to be held on October 22 at 10.30 am to put pressure on the govt officials who are on the board to attend the meeting and get the pending projects cleared & complete the quorum. BUDA meeting is scheduled for 25 of October.
Kanbargi Scheme Number 61 has been approved by the government. More than one lakh applications by Citizens have already been received for the same. The same has to be approved by the board for which the board must sit and approve the same.
Already in the last three meetings, lawmakers, officials and members of Buda have remained absent.
A large rally will be held on the 22nd of October for the implementation of various development works including the construction of an international hockey stadium in Belagavi city and the beneficiaries who applied for the Kanbargi scheme are invited to participate in the rally.
The organizers have urged the Citizens of Belagavi & mainly those Citizens who have submitted applications to BUDA for Plots & flats to participate in this rally to inform the Government on how the MLAs, Board Members & Govt. Officials have neglected serious issues in Belgaum
