As per the data shared by the Karnataka State COVID-19 War Room two villages from Belagavi District have been the worst hit in the category of the Rural area.
Namely, they are Sambra and Balekundri Khurd.
Sambra has seen a total of 17 new cases in the past 4 weeks while Balekundri Khurd has seen 20 new cases in the past 4 weeks and 13 new cases in the past 7 days.
The positivity rate as of 11/1/2022 for Belagavi dist is 6.29%.
5000 tests is the target set for the district each day.
Belagavi stands at the 21st position according to the positivity rate.
Belagavi district registered a total of 269 fresh Covid-19 cases on January 12, while 13 were discharged, the active cases in the district reached 961.
