Regarding the rumor about providing e-KYC (Fingerprint Authentication) of beneficiaries with LPG connections at their gas agencies, it is important to clarify the facts.
Contrary to the rumor, only those who visit their gas agencies and complete the e-KYC (Fingerprint Verification) process will receive subsidy money and have their cylinders supplied. It is essential to pay the gas agency for the e-KYC verification. However, this misinformation has confused the public, Deputy Commissioner Belagavi has clarified.
The DC further added, To set the record straight, cooking gas consumers in Belagavi district can indeed visit their agency and complete their e-KYC process. Furthermore, this service is provided free of charge. The Honorable Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, in their letter dated 18-10-202388, has directed the immediate implementation of e-KYC. However, the Central Government has not set a specific deadline for this process.
It is important to note that e-KYC is mandatory for those who have obtained gas connections under the Ujwal Yojana as a priority. Other regular gas connection holders, can simply visit their gas agency with their Aadhaar number document to complete the e-KYC verification.

Hi
I live at a rented place whose landlord has provided the gas connection. The landlord lives outside India, so he cannot do kyc. So, do I need to do kyc or not ? The landlord is happy if he does not get subsidy.
