The Special Investigation Team today arrived in Belagavi in connection with the murder of scribe Gauri Lankesh in Bengaluru and interrogated a youth as he was the one who had given shelter to the accused.
The youth from Mahadwar road allegedly gave food and shelter to the assailants, and the youth himself appeared before the SIT.
The SIT has been to Belagavi 3 times on earlier occasions as well. The youth has been arrested by the police as of now.
The youth said that he knew the alleged assailants as Hindutva Dharma prasark and as also he was working for a Hindu Organization he arranged food and shelter for him, and he did not anything else about their plan or anything else. I used to supply them food as I did to others he said.
Later the SIT took the youth to Chikle Khanapur where he earlier had a Dhaba.
