A local court in Belagavi has ordered that no work be undertaken for the Halga Macche bypass until the court makes its final order.
Farmers had approached the high court and the honorable court had ordered that until the issue of Zero point is not resolved work should not be undertaken.
However in November 2021 under police protection, the NHAI had taken up work near Macche.
Then the farmers again went to the court and 50 of them were summoned recently to appear in the court.
During the said hearing the local court has ordered that no work will be undertaken until the final verdict is pronounced.
The next hearing will now be held on 28 March.
