Hotel expenses during the winter session in Belagavi amounted to 5.4 crores

The Belagavi City Corporation has received bills of 5.4 Crores for the accommodation of ministers, MLAs, and officials during the legislative session held in December 2022 from various hotels, reported the Sakal.

Eighty hotels in the city and its surrounding areas were utilized to provide lodging, and 76 of the hotel owners have already submitted their bills. However, four hotel owners are yet to submit their bills.

The said bills have been sent by the Belagavi City Corporation to the Urban Development Planning Department for further action. They will verify the bill. After that, the DC will issue the payment.

It also has to be seen if the entire amount is sanctioned or it is deducted.

Still, it is unclear as to when the payment for the same would eventually reach the Hotel owners as last year it was unpaid for more than 12 months.

Expenses for holding a session at Belagavi

The Belagavi City Corporation has sent the bills to the Urban Development Planning Department for further review. They will verify the bill and, upon approval, the DC will issue the payment.

It remains to be seen if the full amount is granted or if deductions are made. Unfortunately, it is still uncertain when the payment will reach the hotel owners, as last year it was unpaid for over a year.
