After a brief stint with the ruling Congress, veteran leader Jagadish Shettar is back with the BJP and poised for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Confident of securing a seat in the Lower House of Parliament from Belagavi, Shettar launched his campaign from Belagavi city on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Shettar expressed certainty in the BJP’s triumph in the Belagavi constituency. He reminisced about his past collaboration with the late MP Suresh Angadi, highlighting their successful organizational efforts during their tenure.
Maintaining close ties with party workers and constituents in Belagavi, Shettar conveyed his dedication to the region and his optimism about winning the election. His return to the BJP in January marks a significant shift after his departure and subsequent return following last year’s assembly elections.
