Hundreds of Lawyers of Bar Association Belagavi came out to the streets in protest for the second day opposing the government’s move of establishing the Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (KSCDRC) in Kalaburagi.

The lawyers boycotted court proceedings and went on a rally. They raised slogans against the state government, chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and forest, food and civil supplies minister Umesh Katti

As per the information available to us the Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission was sanctioned to both Kalaburagi and Belagavi city.

However, the one at Kalburgi has commenced while the one at Belagavi has been delayed for reasons unknown as usual.

The state consumer affairs minister Umesh Katti hails from Belagavi district but he has failed to get funds for the same which is a pity sight.
