A team of Lokayukta officials carried out raids on Thursday at the residence and offices of Santhosh Anishettar, an assistant commissioner of the Belagavi City Corporation. The raids took place in various cities and towns in Belagavi and Dharwad districts.
Santhosh’s residence is situated in Michigan Layout, Dharwad, and the officers were specifically searching for crucial documents. It is worth mentioning that Santhosh had previously served at the Hubballi-Dharwad City Corporation.
The team, led by Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Satish Chitagubbi, along with Deputy Superintendents of Police Shankar Ragi and Vijay Biradar, Inspector Kariyappa Banne, and others, conducted the raids at the houses and offices of Assistant Commissioner Santhosh Anishettar in Belagavi and Dharwad.
During the operation, the team seized property documents, cash, jewelry, antique artifacts, and shoes. Official sources revealed that expensive foreign liquor bottles and imported shoes were discovered at his residences in Dharwad and Belagavi.
The search was carried out at his house in Michigan Compound, property in Bendre Nagar, Dharwad, and Venkatapur and Aladakatti villages in Haveri taluk, as well as a room in Belagavi.
