The Belagavi city police are on their toes to catch those involved in Gambling and Drugs. A series of raids have been conducted for the same in the past fortnight and again on Tuesday 2 raids on Gambling dens were done by CCIB and Marihal Police.
Vaibhav Navi (34), Vinayak Nagar, Belagavi, and Babaji Maruti Pawashe (34), a resident of Uchagaon were apprehended on a tip-off and arrested the accused from Vinayak Nagar.
The CCIB police under the guidance of City Police Commissioner K Tyagrajan and under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner of Police N V Barmani, Police Inspector Sanjeev Kamble and the team conducted the raid at Vinayak Nagar in Belagavi arresting the duo accused.
In another case, Fakirappa Gudadappa Belodi is 23 years old was arrested by the Marihal Police station from a Matka (Gambling den) and Rs.10,400 were recovered.
