Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa who visited the bereaved family said on Wednesday that a memorial honouring late Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi, who died of Covid-19, will be built in New Delhi, reports news agency IANS.
Chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday promised the bereaved members of the family of late Union minister of state and Belagavi MP Suresh Angadi that he would appeal to the central government to erect a memorial at the spot where he was laid to rest in New Delhi, reports the Times of India.
Yediyurappa told the family that he has instructed officials in New Delhi to construct a memorial for the late minister, reports the New Indian Express.

Earlier, Shradha Angadi had clarified as a comment on AAB – I would like to clarify as his daughter. We aren’t asking to build a monument. We have requested to build a compound wall in the Lingayat karmabhoomi in Delhi where his last Rites were performed. The burial ground for lingayat community was got sanctioned by Late Shri.Suresh Angadi only a few months back in Delhi. We have requested for construction of a compound wall at that place. I request the admin to please note this and not to give the wrong information to the public.
