Mini market emerges near SVS protest site

The protest site about 2 kms from the Suvarna Vidhan Soudha demarcated for protests has now turned into a full fledged mini market with a variety of vendors mainly locals making the most of this once in a year opportunity.

The vendors are selling everything from sugarcane juice to bhel puri, pani puri pav bhaji, mini rice plate, ice creams, juices and also pan and other allied products. School going children are seen selling tea and he made a turnover of Rs.800 a day. His mother in the house makes the tea and he sells it.

Sources told AAB that even Indian made foreign liquor was available on demand there.
The mini market will end at the end of the winter session.
