A woman gave birth in the toilet of a running and the new born fell down from the toilet onto the railway track. The baby was lying there for over 24 hours when it was recovered and sent to dist hospital.
Mahadevi Kambar (35) was travelling in the Bangalore Ajmer train on Tuesday morning. Around 10 am she had labour pains and she went to the toilet alone where she gave birth to the child which fell down from the toilet onto the railway track.
She was later found unconscious at Belgaum station. The railway police took her to the District hospital and then she narrated the story but nothing was heard about the new born. News spread that the new born was abducted from the train.
Today morning a passerby on Congress road heard sound of a baby crying and he went towards the railway track and he found a baby lying in the middle of the track. The baby was lying there for over 24 hours and at least 15 trains must have gone over the baby but say its God’s grace or a miracle the baby was fine and was admitted to the dist hospital.
The hospital authorities clarified that DNA of the mother and child would be done and once confirmed then only the child will be handed over to the lady.
Still it is not confirmed whether it is the same child which Mahadevi gave birth.
