A delegation of Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Belagavi district has demanded the immediate resumption of daily flights from Belagavi to Delhi and Mumbai.
Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has responded to the request, which was made after the closure of the air service on December 10th. MP Smt. Mangala Angadi, Irranna Kadadi, and Chikodi MP Annasaheb Jolle met with the Minister to discuss the matter.
The lack of daily flights from Belagavi has caused significant inconvenience to traders and entrepreneurs, who are now forced to travel by road to Hubli or Goa and then take a plane to Delhi.
This is especially concerning as the Auto Expo, which has not been held for four years, is set to take place in Delhi on January 11th. Many big companies, including Tata and Hyundai, will be participating in the event, and spare parts sellers from Belagavi are expected to attend.
In response to this, the Belagavi Automobile Merchants Association sent a statement to MP (Rajya Sabha) Iranna Kadadi. Kadadi then met with Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in Delhi and requested the immediate resumption of daily flights from Belagavi to Delhi and Mumbai. President of Belagavi Automobile Merchants Association Sharad Patil has expressed his gratitude for the Minister’s response.
Unfortunately there is no consistency on flights from Belgaum though there is always good response from passengers. Our political leaders from Dist should insist, pursue for the regular flights ✈️ to Bangalore , Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad & other major cities. There should be monitoring for the continuation & citizens should be taken in confidence for any change ….
