“India Rankings 2018” have ranked institutions in the disciplines/categories mentioned above, and have also provided a common overall rank across all disciplines for those institutions which have more than 1000 enrolled students.
The parameters used for India Rankings 2018 are broadly similar to those used in previous years. However, some of the sub-parameters have been further tweaked for greater robustness and accuracy. In particular for evaluating Research Impact, parameters for quality of publications have been enhanced to include the number of highly cited papers, (i.e., number of papers lying in the top 25 percentile of citations) in addition to the usual parameters of publications per faculty and citations per paper.
Isn’t it Belgavi suppose to be hub for education excellency ? When are we going to excel higher in sense of quality education not only quantity.
!!!!!!! They are money spinning institutes not educational institutes……
Where is GIT? Not even in the top 200. The college keeps saying they have done this and that and thumping all the time they are the best.
It seems after Prof. K S Vishwanath the great principal and to a a little extent Dr. Rao, GIT is slipping badly. What was once the pride of North Karnataka has sunk and terribly.
Sad to see the comments of Mr Ramesh Kulkarni. GIT Was ranked between 100 to 150 in NIRF for 2017-18 and been the only Engineering Institute from North Karnataka… Only institute in the whole state to get A+ from NAAC…Mr Ramesh you should get your facts right before commenting.
This year…there were few parameters which were not clear and there were validation issues. As a matter of fact there are many top institutes are not figuring in the list, though they are proven to be the best for the years.
It’s fine if you miss some times… but the comments of Mr Ramesh Kulkarni are not in good taste. Right from Dr Vishwanath, Dr Rao to each of the staff, today at GIT and brilliant students have contributed to build the Brand GIT. Your loose comments are insulting for all.
