A video is viral of the nurse’s who are on CONTRACT with Belagavi Institute of Medical sciences has gone viral, in which they are demanding their basic salary.
During this time of COVID the nurse’s in the hospital are the key personnel who take care of the patients and as per this video the 35 odd nursing staff say they are paid only 10,000 and no COVID allowance has been paid to them even when the Govt has made an order for the same.
In 2019 an order was issued that they should also get the basic salary but still they have been deprived of the same.
The nurses irked how can they survive in 10,000 working round the clock for COVID with such a meager pay.
New appointments made recently are getting 25,000 but those who have worked for 13 years are still not getting the BASIC salary which has been approved by the govt and the same is paid to all contract employees of other Govt Medical colleges in the state.
