On 28 February 2022 Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone for the Two laning of Sanquelim – Jamboti- Belagavi Road on NH 48AA Length 69.17 Km Cost 246.78 Crore.
On May 6 the Govt issued a gazette notification acquiring 4.9627 (ha) land in Kankumbi for the same.
With this of the 80(ha) land which was required for the said road only 70(ha) has been acquired already and only 10(ha) has to be acquired.
