The wait for the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra to be opened in Belagavi is getting more as the days pass by. In may it was scheduled to commence operations by June end, but didn’t hear a word about it even when it is 27, June.
Passport Officer Bharath Kumar Kuthati has said, Once the Department of Posts identifies the location, we will be ready to move in. Setting up our operations will not take long. We expect to set up the whole operations in one month’s time. But when will this one month get over?
Post Office Passport Seva Kendra in Belagavi soon, we had published this story on February 10 and minister Sushma Swaraj had tweeted that POPSK would commence operations before 31st of March 2017.
First it was the location, then location was finalized as the Head Post office, but what after that? What is taking so long in Belagavi to open the POPSK.
Even Belagavi has been allocated one POPSK in the first batch announced on February 9, 2017 and Kolhapur was included later in the second Batch of POPSK on February 28, 2017, and on March 25 the Kolhapur POPSK was inaugurated and Belagavi is still waiting for the POPSK to commence operations.
The ministry of External affairs in its press note states,
In the first phase, it has been decided to open 86 POPSK in the country. 52 POPSK have become functional. MEA and DOP are working closely for the operationalization of passport related services at the remaining 34 POPSK in the first phase.
What is taking such a long time is still not clear?
Is it lack of Political Will ?
Time to get a dynamic MP next election. Our current gentleman is simply a self-serving person building his own empire. He cares nothing for people service or the people. You only see with that artificial smile photo all over the place.
I had tweet on this regard to Shri.SushmaJi,but unfortunately no response!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Belgaum mp total waste just warm his seat and frowning self economy and blocking a capable candidate to come
