Many you might have seen Eamma Watson sing in Hindi in the movie Beauty and the Beast, the dubbed version, but how many know that those Hindi lyrics were written by Belagavi boy Prashant Ingole.
Prashant Ingole struck fame when he wrote Dil Ye Ziddi Hain (Mary Kom) and then later Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani.
Prashant studied at Bhatkhande School here till SSLC at Belagavi. Prashant started lyrics writing for movies since 2001. He got first break in 2008 for writing a song for the film Paisa Hai Power. His first hit came in 2012 through the song ‘Party On My Mind’ in Race-2. Later in 2014, he got opportunity to write four songs for hit film Mary Kom. He has 13 movies to his credit.
He has written Lyrics for Movies like Mary Kom, Puraani Jeans, Race 2, All The Best, Aa Dekhen Zara, Striker, Daddy Cool, Mumbai Mast Kalandar, Walkaway, Soch Lo, Luv U Soniyo and few more.
His journey began in college when he would chivalrously write sententious four liners for his friends received much appreciation for his talent with the words. His first break came when he was signed to write ‘half a song’ for Aa Dekhe Zara which already written but not completed.
While writing the new lyrics, he had to transcreate in order to ensure that I did not deviate from the original plot and theme.
Disney`s Beauty and the Beast is an adaptation of the Disney fairy tale about a monstrous-looking prince and a young woman who fall in love.
I didn’t know him before. I like that Hindi version of Beauty and Beast and lyrics are just lovely.
