PYAAS Foundation will be handing over the rejuvenated Aralikatti lake to the gram panchayat of Aralikatti in a ceremony to be held on the 5th of January 2018 at 9.00 am in the village.

The foundation took over the job of rejuvenating the lake in the summer of 2017 and finished the work in record two months. The lake is around two acres in its area and is around thirty feet deep. PYAAS foundation decided to undertake this project as Aralikatti was the worst hit by the drought in 2016 and the foundation had then supported the village with drinking water. The lake will be a relief to this parched village in the summers and is stated to bring the ground water levels much higher.
