Now a day’s many associations, organizations, NGOs and other charities around the world are helping poor students to complete their education and achieve success in life in many ways but Shantai Vidhya Adahar’s “Raddi to Buddhi” (education of needy students from the sale of old newspapers, books ) it is of unique kind of social work and it is no exaggeration to say that it is the perfect social service, said Shri Rajesh Patnekar, Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly. He was speaking as a chief guest in the Scholarship Distribution Function organized by Shantai Vidhya Adahar in association with KLS Gogte Institue of Technology, Belagavi here on Saturday at KLSGIT.
As the world is becoming more competitive and technological advanced, higher education is becoming more and more expensive and it is very difficult for poor children to get into higher education. But the government has introduced a number of programs for such students and also many such organizations like Shantai are helping them to keep their dreams alive and achieve something great in life.
So poor children should not stay away from education and should not think of leaving the education in between, because to achieve success there is no alternative to education, He told. He praised all the office bearers of Shantai and all the donors for their social service.
Also, students, who will complete their studies with the help of these kinds of programs and join the job they should extend their helping hand to help few more poor students to complete their education, he told. At last, he shared the love and affection he has towards Belagavi. At this occasion chief guest and other dignitaries have distributed scholarships to needy students.

Komal Shirshat & Kumari Deepa Patil who have completed their education with the help of Vidhya Adhar program of Shantai shared gratitude words. President of Shantai Vidya Adhar and KLS Member Shri. Vinayak Lokur spoke on Vidhya Adhar Program & welcomed the gathering. Shantai Vrudaashrama president Shri Vijay Patil gave introductory remarks, Shri Rohit Deshpande and Shri Santosh Mamadapur introduced the chief guest and president of the function, Dr. Sonal Sarnobat proposed the vote of thanks and Prof. Geeta Sambrekar was the host for the function. At this occasion Principal Dr. A.S.Deshpande, Social Activist and Ex-mayor of Belagavi Shri Vijay More, other office bearers of Shantai, Students, parents and Staff of GIT were present.
